Torque with a ‘click’ 15 July 2024

When it comes to controlled high torque transfer, Wera’s Click-Torque wrenches, so named by the audible click that indicates the mechanism release when the set torque is reached, are the suitable solution for torquing applications.

Capable of applying up to 1,000Nm of force, the newly available wrenches feature a long leaver and two easy to read torque scales, which are displayed on the handle.

A clear click sounds when each value displayed on the scale is reached. The audible feedback helps to indicate when the desired value has been reached and the wrench can then be locked. The same signal also sounds during the torquing process to help avoid the transfer of too much force.

The entire Click-Torque range comprises of 33 torque wrenches, including versions with a switch lever to enable direction change; wrenches with a captive square drive; as well as wrenches for insert tools, which can also be used for clockwise and anti-clockwise tightening.

To help make usage easier for its users, Wera Werkzeuge GmbH has printed abrasion resistant QR codes on its torque wrenches and inserts tools. Users simply need to scan the QR code, enter the target value and the set value will then be displayed.
