tesa, the international manufacturer of innovative adhesive tapes and self-adhesive product solutions, is expanding its portfolio with the new tesa® 64295. The transport securing tape, commonly known as strapping tape, tesa® 64295, is tesa’s solution to the increasing demand for more sustainable transport securing solutions.
tesa® 64295 was specially developed for the secure fastening of loose or moving parts during the transport of household appliances, such as shelves, racks, containers and inserts. tesa® 64295 offers reliable adhesion and can be disposed of after use together with the packaging material without affecting the recycling process – as recyclability was tested according to PTS-RH 021:2012.
The tape, tesa highlights, consists of more than 75% bio-based materials, including a paper carrier from FSC®-certified forests and other controlled sources and is coated with a solvent-free natural rubber adhesive. In addition, the core of the tape is made of 100% FSC®-certified recycled paper.
"Transportation security tapes ensure that goods arrive safely. They reduce the risk of financial loss and customer dissatisfaction caused by damaged household appliances during transport," explains Frank Domann, head of home appliance at tesa. "tesa® 64295 helps reduce the use of virgin plastic. In doing so, we offer our customers a more sustainable alternative to conventional plastic tapes without compromising on performance and help them contribute to their sustainability goals."
