Lohmann GmbH & Co KG has been awarded the silver medal from EcoVadis for a second consecutive year, recognising its sustainable business strategy and placing the company in the top 15% of the world's most sustainable companies rated by EcoVadis.
EcoVadis evaluates companies based on their performance in the areas of environmental protection, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. "At a time when the requirements and assessment criteria by EcoVadis have become more stringent, this award confirms our commitment to sustainability and our continuous efforts to promote responsible business practices. The fact that EcoVadis only recognises the top 15% of rated companies with the silver medal further highlights the importance of this recognition and underlines Lohmann's leading role in the industry in implementing sustainable and ethical business practices," explains Katharina Candia Avendaño, head of sustainability at Lohmann.
Lohmann is determined to continue its sustainability efforts, with the company’s strategy ‘Lohmann BEYOND 2026’ being a main driving force in Lohmann’s sustainable initiatives. With sustainability as one of the three central strategic pillars, Lohmann is pursuing the goal of becoming climate neutral by 2035. This includes investments in green energy, the circular economy as well as solvent-free and bio-based adhesive solutions.
