Integrity introduces new security screw 15 April 2015

UK-based Integrity Products has launched a brand new non-removable security screw.

Integrity Products explains that the IP5-2 is the first permanent tamper resistant drive to be developed from ‘scratch’. It has its own bespoke drive bit to produce a perfectly matching river/recess fit.
The driver has five forward driving faces to facilitate improved torque where required, but importantly has no reverse driving faces and therefore there are no sharp edges on the driver in the anti-clockwise direction, which could be used to unscrew or remove – greatly improving it’s function as a one-way screw.

The IP5-2 includes a flange head with under head serrations and is case hardened to deter saw and drill attacks. It is also coated with a 1,000 hour corrosion resistant surface finish.
Integrity Products is able to offer the IP5-2 in M8 x 40, 50 and 80 versions – to add to its existing range of machine screws, M8 x 35 and 45 thread forming screws and sleeve anchors 10mm (M8) x 50 and 80.
