Even in demanding areas such as medical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage technology, shafts that are far apart often have to be connected. In order to avoid complex and cost-intensive construction work for necessary intermediate storage, distance couplings were developed. Now, ENEMAC offers a new product range, EWLC distance couplings, to meet these industry demands.
The EWLC distance coupling, with an overall length of up to 3m, has a variable length intermediate tube made of A2 or A4 stainless steel, which can be adapted to the customer's requirements. This pipe is connected with two metal bellows couplings made of A4 stainless steel. In many cases, the EWLC distance coupling can be used as a backlash-free connection, cardan or synchronous shaft. Alignment errors, especially parallel misalignments, can then be compensated for. The half-shell hubs make assembly easier and ensure a secure, friction-locking connection.
The EWLC is available in 7 sizes with a nominal torque of up to 1,200Nm, with shaft diameters between 7mm and 85mm.
