Weicon, a manufacturer of special chemical products, has developed an adhesive and sealant, Weicon Flex 310 M HT 220+., that is suitable for high-temperature areas and applications, including metal construction, tank and apparatus engineering, ventilation and air conditioning systems, car body, container, wagon and vehicle construction.
This newly developed adhesive closes a gap in the field of elastic adhesives and sealants for bonding applications in which components are thermally coated at higher temperatures.
The one component SMP-based adhesive and sealant is high-temperature resistant, fast-curing and elastic and is suitable for tolerance-compensating bonding work. Flex 310 M HT 220+ is free from solvents, halogens, silicone and isocyanate. It has good initial adhesion, is moisture-hardening, neutral-curing and once fully cured, the adhesive and sealant can be exposed to temperatures of up to 220°C for 30 minutes and up to 90°C permanently.
The adhesive and sealant adheres to a wide variety of surfaces and is highly resistant to weathering and ageing.
