BladeFixer – the heavyweight champion of plasterboard fixings 16 March 2017

Select Products states that its new BladeFixer brand is the world's first plasterboard fixing that can hold 245kg in shear tests and 85kg tension tests* after being independently tested and verified by the BRE (Building Research Establishment). Making BladeFixer the heavyweight champion of plasterboard fixings.

Select Products Ltd points out that BladeFixers also offer a larger fixing surface (which can be snapped off or trimmed to the users desired size) and can also hold multiple screws - allowing for final fitting adjustments. BladeFixers can be used for fixing heavy items such as wall cabinets, boilers and large radiators to all types of plasterboard walls.

Unlike other fixings currently available, BladeFixers require no special tools or skills to fit. In fact, all a user needs to install a BladeFixer is a small knife to make a slot in the wall/ ceiling (or simply use the pointed end of the fixing itself), as well as the choice of either a Phillips screwdriver or a power drill. In only a couple of minutes - and four simple steps - the BladeFixer will be securely in place.

BladeFixers are very versatile and work in all types and thicknesses of plasterboard, from 9.5mm to 15mm, double board, insulation board and dot and dab and lath and plaster. In addition to this, thanks to its unique method of fixing and distributing weight, BladeFixer also works very well on traditional lath and plaster walls and ceilings.

“This patent pending, innovative yet simple design is made in the UK using galvanised British steel,” mentions Select Products. “BladerFixer is perfect for both trades and home improvers looking for a strong fix being supplied in packs of 5, 10 and 100.”
