For enclosures, boxes and doors, Ganter Norm offers a design family of hinges, latches and panel support clamps that, when combined, can create a modern and uniform appearance for various applications.
This range of standard parts is made of die cast zinc with black or silver matt textured powder coating. These standard parts are fastened to frames or panels using screws and rubber inserts and spacer sleeves can be used to ensure a positive connection when clamping to glass or plastic panels. The additionally available T-slot nuts also allow the hinges and clamps to be affixed to all typical aluminium profiles of the B and I series.
The hinge with a swivelling range of 180 degrees is available in two sizes – 92mm x 60mm for panels from 4mm to 8mm thick and 122mm x 90mm for panels from 8mm to 12mm thick. Thrust washers and hinge pins manufactured from non-rusting stainless steel ensure a smooth and low-wear swivel motion while the easily affixed zinc die cast covers hide the fastening and clamping screws.
The panel support clamps are available in five versions for panels ranging between 5mm and 12mm thick. Depending on the position of the panel, either the surface or corner clamps can be used. The company also offers a version with securing pin – a plastic-sheathed stainless steel pin that assists with positioning by means of a positive connection. The surface clamp is also available with a stop plate to prevent lateral slippage, such as when used on open railing panels on stairs.
The slam latches engage automatically when the door is closed and are equipped with an intuitive design which ensures users identify the release element. The latches are affixed to door frames or profiles either from the operating side or the rear side using slotted holes. While secured plastic covers hide the fastening screws and protect them from unauthorised access. These slam latches are available with or without a lock and are equipped with a key that either fits all locks or only one. After locking, unauthorised removal is no longer possible.
