Roberlo has released a new primer Primapox 6031 which offers a high-level of protection against corrosion for steel exposed to highly corrosive conditions.
Primapox 6031 is the new low VOC (volatile organic compound) primer from Roberlo’s industrial coating brand Disolac. Due to its high zinc content which amounts to more than 80% zinc powder in a dry layer, it offers a high level of protection against corrosion for steel exposed to highly corrosive conditions. Through its cathodic protection and barrier effects, the penetration of chemical agents that cause substrate oxidation are slowed down.
As well as this, the Primapox 6031 is an ISO 12944 certified, C5 high-level solution, which ensures the coating’s resistance and durability against corrosion in corrosive environments, such as maritime. As shown in laboratory tests, Primapox 6031 withstands 1,440 hours in a salt spray environment and in the humidity chamber. For this reason, Roberlo insists, Primapox 6031 is the perfect solution for equipment that comes into contact with saline water, such as maritime structures, slipways, partial parts of ships, oil and gas structures and bridges.
