Rising year-on-year sales for UK-based manufacturer of intelligent bolting systems, InterBolt™, has enabled additional investment in the company’s production capacity and workforce.
First launched in 2021, InterBolt™ has recently moved to larger premises located in the historic town of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, UK. Combining office and production space, the facility provides extra capacity to meet growing demand, particularly for on and offshore wind, as well as the mining and crane markets. InterBolt™ has also hired a number of new starters, most recently Manufacturing Technician Chris Bell.
Used in a wide range of critical bolted joint applications, InterBolt™ technology provides ‘real time’ bolt load measurements to engineers during installation and long-term monitoring. Proof of bolt loads is guaranteed via a highly accurate miniature bolt load sensor embedded directly into the bolt or threaded stud itself, which can be monitored remotely. Once tightened accurately on-site, it eliminates the need for manual periodic inspection and enables asset failures to be predicted and prevented.
