When fixing soft or hardwoods, Samac Fixings offers its Performance Decking Screws as an ideal solution. The screws are packed with precisely engineered design features – tailored specifically for decking projects.
The Performance Decking Screws feature self-countersinking ribs, ensuring improved countersinking and a flush finish for a professional look. The Type 17 Cut Point reduces splitting and the need for pre-drilling, while the TX screw heads provide increased torque transfer and reduce the likelihood of cam-out or stripping, resulting in fewer damaged screws and faster, easier assembly. The six-pointed star-shaped head design also distributes force evenly, which helps prevent wear and tear on tools.
To ensure clean finish on decking, the locking thread at the top of each screw will keep every slat securely in place, preventing any unsightly movement. The screws also have a special serrated thread that drives quickly into wood, reducing torque and making them ideal for even the toughest decking projects.
To ensure its performance, the Performance Decking Screws have been manufactured with a special ‘ACQ’ (Alkaline Copper Quaternary) corrosion-resistant coating. Samac states the screws have been salt spray tested to a minimum of 1,000 hours, thus ensuring their reliability for exterior usage.
Designed in a natural brown colour, the screws are available in lengths from 50mm to 80mm and come in a flip-top tub together with a free TX driver bit. Tub quantities range from 300, 500 and 1,000, dependant on the type of screw.
