Superior fastening from Makita 26 October 2022

Makita has introduced the new 18V LXT® brushless 6,000rpm autofeed screwdriver, model XRF03Z, which it states delivers superior fastening speed to handle a variety of materials and applications.

Using a Makita brushless motor to achieve a maximum fastening speed of 6,000rpm, the autofeed screwdriver can be used in a variety of work environments and can drive up to 2,250 screws with Push Drive™ technology on a single charge of an 18V LXT® 5.0Ah battery. Push Drive™ enables the user to operate the tool but only has the motor running when the fastener engages for longer run times and reduced noise.

“The autofeed screwdriver is a great addition to the line-up of fastening tools in the LXT® system,” said Rudy Jansen, residential construction product manager at Makita Inc. “The autofeed screwdriver can handle a variety of drywall, decking and framing applications faster, allowing the user to increase productivity with less fatigue.”

Switching from a work environment that requires different materials to be installed is also achievable with the autofeed screwdriver, as it can accept screws ranging from 1 inch – 23/16 inches. The depth that the fastener is installed can be adjusted using a one touch wheel that allows the fastener to either sit at the surface of the material or below depending on the application.

Engineered for continuous use, the autofeed screwdriver is both compact and ergonomic and weighs only 4.9lbs, with battery, for reduced operator fatigue. The handle is designed with the user in mind with a comfortable rubberised grip and a lock-on button for continuous use.
