Simpson Strong-Tie now offers its Strong-Bolt® 2 wedge anchor in fully assembled packaging. Equipped with the stud, nut and washer preassembled in one convenient package, the wedge anchor saves installers time and eliminates the potential for lost pieces.
Code listed for cracked and uncracked concrete, as well as masonry applications, the Strong-Bolt® 2 wedge type expansion anchor is an optimal choice for high performance – even in seismic and high-wind conditions. It features dual undercutting embossments on each clip segment to enable secondary expansion should a crack form and intersect the anchor location, significantly increasing the ability of Strong-Bolt® 2 to carry the load if the hole expands. The wedge anchor has a chamfered top to prevent mushrooming during installation and is suitable for horizontal, vertical and overhead applications.

The Strong-Bolt® 2 anchor is available in carbon steel with a zinc-plated or mechanically galvanised finish, or in type 304 and type 316 stainless steel. It comes in standard (ANSI) fractional sizes to fit standard fixtures and installs with common drill bit and tool sizes.
