Sherex Fastening Solutions has introduced a new hand tool calibration unit, which measures the pulling force for both pneumatic and hydro-pneumatic rivet nut tools to ensure they meet the required setting force to install into the application.
With the ability to measure the pulling force of a tool before performing an installation, users can be assured the tool is calibrated correctly for a perfect installation. This will help manufacturers and operators improve the quality of rivet nut installations, which will result in cost savings, scheduled maintenance, and decreased waste.
“The development of the hand tool calibration unit is a direct result from feedback from our customers and manufactures. Our customers wanted a tool that could show the pulling force of both pneumatic and hydro-pneumatic tools, and get results in real time. Manufacturers and operators will see an increase in quality, and will be able to better determine if their spin-spin or spin-pull tools need to be calibrated or require maintenance. This is more than just a calibration unit, it’s a tool to ensure quality,” said Adam Pratt, Sherex president.
