Partnering with industry through innovative software 23 June 2025

As part of the S&P Group, S&P Software Consulting + Solutions GmbH is a professional partner for the global construction products industry, developing and implementing customised design software – including for the fastener and fixing industries.

S&P develops modern, future-proof design software for a variety of sectors including fastening technology, timber connections, mounting rails, solar substructures, structural reinforcements, reinforced concrete and lightweight metal construction.

According to European and international standards, S&P’s product specific software for the fastener industry guides users through product selection based on plausibility checks and load-bearing capacity verifications, in accordance with the current regulations. “However, our software goes further than that,” comments Dr Ing Mirko Neumann, managing partner at S&P. “We create customised software for our customers based on their specific requirements, meaning the scope and usability are tailored to the needs of the end user. Many customer requests go beyond what is regulated by current standards and regulations. In such cases, we support the customer in developing engineering solutions and provide in-depth and expert advice on current trends and developments.”

Mirko adds: “Often, part of the calculation result is the dimensioning of the anchor plate. An embedded FEM module provides realistic design results – whether anchor plates are made of steel or aluminium. Fasteners can be calculated for both concrete and masonry.”

Upon request, S&P is able to conduct training directly at the customer’s premises - even after project completion. “We benefit from strong connections with universities, colleges and research institutes. In addition, we value embedding our long tenured employees in every customer interaction, creating a solid foundation of trust. We are a team of over 60 software and IT specialists, continuously expanding our expertise and service offerings to better serve our customers,” states Mirko.
