Next generation of concrete screws for higher load-bearing capacity 09 August 2021

The load-bearing capacity values in cracked and non-cracked concrete of the established concrete screw JC2 have been significantly increased, as well as an optimised tip geometry to create the JC2 Plus.

Available from the Construction Division of EJOT®, the JC2 Plus is easy to install and comes in a newly launched 14mm size. Concrete screws are known as all-rounders. They are installed directly through the attachment in the base material. By doing so, the thread cuts into the concrete, creating a mechanical interlock within the total embedment depth. During installation, there are almost no expansion forces, which is beneficial for temporary fixings close to the edge. Concrete screws are also removable.

The European Technical Assessment (ETA - 21/0020) covers two anchorage depths, offering the concrete screw JC2 Plus more flexibility in demanding applications.

With the Construction Division, the fastening technology specialist EJOT caters to selected segments of the building industry. This includes professional applications on building facades and installation solutions for technical facilities inside the building. The main products are drilling and sealing screws, nylon anchors, assembly elements for attachments, profiles, chemical and mechanical anchors as well as fasteners for flat roofs and solar applications.

Whether it is the construction of the highest tower, the most spectacular nuclear reactor protective cover or the southernmost polar station in the world – EJOT customers rely on many years of experience in the building industry.
