Fixi Group has introduced a brand new family of self-anchoring inserts for stone and solid surfaces to the market, in order to keep pace with new materials and applications.
Fixi Group has been working in the metal sheet, solid parts and plastic components industries since 1984 and has hundreds of customers in Europe and overseas.
These new inserts for stone and solid surfaces are made in stainless steel and are built as a threaded insert – with a set of spring washers, and a plastic ring, holding the components together. They are used to create threaded holes in any stones and solid surfaces such as marble, granite, sintered stones, HPL, ceramic tiles and many other materials.
The self-anchoring inserts come in different lengths and thread sizes, with or without the head, to fit to several different material thicknesses and uses. Installation is said by Fixi to be very fast and easy, by simply drilling a 12mm hole into the material and then pressing the inserts in either manually or using powered tools. Fixi states that the new product’s pull-out force has been tested and is very high, making it suitable for most applications, from interior design, such as kitchen and bathroom tops, to construction for ventilated façades.
