The latest CAS partner, ENERPAC, specialising in hydraulics for a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, power generation, mining and aerospace. The first collaboration between ENERPAC and Metabo, a battery-powered high-torque screwdriver suitable for all heavy-duty screwdriving applications, was launched in May this year.
Battery-powered tools are not new territory for Enerpac. The US manufacturer already offers a range of cordless hydraulic pumps. Up to now, Enerpac has developed the batteries for its electrical devices itself, but this was not a long-term solution. The capacity for in-house production was not sufficient given the high demand for more mobility and environmentally friendly products.
"We were looking for a partner who would enable us to concentrate fully on our craft. Our colleagues from product management became aware of Metabo and initiated the first contact,” says Chris Burns, head of global marketing communications at ENERPAC. "Metabo provides us with the latest battery technology. This means we can bring our products to market faster and more cost-effectively than before.”
"By joining CAS, we are striving to provide our customers with more flexibility, without cables and with fewer restrictions," adds Chris. "This partnership offers a good breeding ground for mutual success and innovation. We are very much looking forward to working together – also with the other CAS partners."
Becca is the latest member to join our team and is eager to get stuck into the world of fasteners. She brings an enthusiastic and fresh outlook on what we do editorially and will be leading our social media activity – including sourcing material, editing articles and posting online.
