Firmly connected at a distance 28 May 2024

The new fischer adjusting screw FAFS accelerates and simplifies distance assembly in wooden substructures, such as for cladding walls and ceilings. With a European Technical Assessment (ETA), this fixing enables optimal connections even ‘at a distance’.

Thanks to a clever clip on the screw head that prevents turning during adjustment, the PowerFast II enables continuously adjustable spacer mounting and makes the positioning and alignment of the attachments, such as the battens of substructures, more precise.

Unevenness in the anchoring surface can be easily compensated and straightened, as the unique thread of the PowerFast II screw ensures quick bite and easy screwing. The clip on the screw head remains flush with the surface of the mounting object without protruding. A thread on the outside of the clip then allows the fixing to be unscrewed.

The FAFS is suitable for push-through installation and is very user-friendly. Users simply put the setting tool on the bit and screw the adjusting screw flush with the surface of the attachment. The distance between the components can be adjusted with the bit without the additional setting tool and by changing the direction of rotation.

For wooden slats with a thickness of less than 30mm when installed close to the edge, fischer recommends pre-drilling with a diameter of 6mm. Use in masonry is possible with the fischer DuoPower 6x50 or UX 6x50 anchors. this also requires pre-drilling with a diameter of 6mm. The range includes four FAFS versions with the dimensions 5x80mm, 5x90mm, 5x100mm and 5x120mm, each with a TX25 drive.
