E-Jet® X for the most demanding applications 25 October 2022

Engel has launched its own timber construction screw, E-Jet® X, as part of its E-Jet® family. The E-Jet® X combines properties for structural timber engineering and roof insulation systems.

With a European Technical Assessment (ETA) and CE Marking, the E-Jet® X is suitable for the most demanding design requirements and offers maximum flexibility thanks to its design with both countersunk and wafer head. The user benefits from the best possible result due to fast, practical processing in combination with an outstanding surface appearance.

Part of the E-Jet® family, which was launched in 2013, the range was also the first Engel brand of wood construction screws with ETA certification and is available in a diameter range from 3mm up to 6mm – with a maximum length of 300mm. “The E-Jet® brand was the first step in the direction of self-aligned screws,” comments Daniel Kamp, head of sales trading at Verbindungselemente Engel GmbH. “As Engel was always well known for distributors focused on timber construction, it was clear that the range needed to be extended – and the range of E-Jet® X timber construction screws was born.”

“Despite the fact it’s not the desired market situation for a new product launch – such as the critical situation in Ukraine; the already long-lasting difficult supply situation; as well as the energy crisis – we are very satisfied with the turnover results. However, we also have to be vigilant in ensuring the delivery performance in order to meet the current market demands,” emphasises Daniel Kamp. “We will continue to expand our family of brands little by little, to be a reliable and strong partner for our worldwide distributors, especially with fasteners specialised for wood construction.”
