DeWalt debuts cordless roofing nailer 07 July 2020

DeWalt has introduced the 20V MAX 15° coil roofing nailer (DCN45RN), another addition to its 20V MAX System, which features over 200 products. Optimised for small jobsite applications, the nailer is ideal for service and repair jobs and small production work.

Dewalt says its 20V MAX 15° coil roofing nailer drives 500 nails per charge and can fire up to three nails per second. It also includes features standard among pro-grade corded equipment such as bump actuation mode and tool free depth adjustment for precise nailing. The nailer can install up to 1002ft of asphalt roofing shingles per charge at four nails per shingle using a 2.0Ah battery (DCB203).

Based on a survey conducted by DeWalt, the tool company found that roofing professionals can save up to 20 minutes in set-up and clean-up time by switching from a pneumatic nailer to a battery powered roofing nailer, such as the DCN45RN.

The nailer includes components that allow for tool free adjustments, including a stall release that returns the driver blade in the event of a jam. With a 120 nail capacity and a standard nail canister, the 20V MAX 15° is compatible with most coil 1/4 to 1-3/4-in. roofing nails.

Additionally, the tool features an efficient brushless motor for a long runtime and motor life, and has also been ergonomically designed with a handle that fits comfortably in a user’s hand.
