FLEX GmbH is expanding its portfolio with an innovative 12V drywall screwdriver DW 37 12-EC that has been specially developed to meet the needs of drywall and timber construction work.
The compact, lightweight tool combines powerful performance with ease of use and accurate precision. Weighing less than 1kg including the 2.5 Ah battery, FLEX states this screwdriver is “the lightest in its class” and enables fatigue-free working over long periods of time.
Besides being lightweight, the FLEX 12V drywall screwdriver also incorporates the latest technology to make drywall work even more efficient. An auto-start function ensures energy-saving operation by automatically starting the motor as soon as pressure is applied to the screwdriver. A pulse mode means protruding screws can be countersunk precisely and in a controlled manner without damaging the material. This special screwdriver allows the screw-in depth of the screws to be limited so as not to break through the plasterboard.
An intuitive ‘In-Your-Control’ throttle switch allows the user to optimise the screwdriver’s speed to the task at hand for precise and safe use. Additionally, an integrated LED light ensures optimum visibility. The afterglow function ensures that the light remains on for a few seconds even after the trigger is released.
A specially developed short handle on the DW 37 12-EC ensures optimum balance and handling, which means that the tool always sits comfortably in the hand even when it’s being used for long periods. For continuous work, the drywall screwdriver also has a lockable button which, in combination with the auto-start function, enables convenient and uninterrupted operation.
The screw magazine from FLEX's 18-volt series is also compatible with the DW 37 12-EC, eliminating the need for tedious repositioning of screws. Using the screw magazine also gives users the option of two-handed operation, which can help to avoid incorrect screw fastening due to a crooked screw attachment in one-handed operation. For added convenience and mobility, the screwdriver can be easily attached to a belt so that it’s always to hand.
