Makita has released the new 40V max XGT® two piece combo to provide powerful solutions for drilling, driving and fastening.

The new kit features a 40V max XGT® brushless ½ inch hammer driver drill and a 40V max XGT® four speed impact driver, in a kit form that includes two 40V max XGT® 4.0Ah batteries, a 40V max XGT® charger and a tool bag.

“Makita is pleased to announce this new two piece combo kit to the 40V max XGT® platform. The kit features our hammer driver drill and impact drive that are ideal for a variety of drilling, driving and fastening applications,” says Robert Monroe, product manager, drilling, fastening and expansion, Makita USA, Inc. “Combined with two powerful 40V XGT® 4.0Ah batteries, this combo kit will add another great option for users to fit their 40V platform needs.”

The 40V max XGT® brushless ½ inch hammer driver drill is powered by a brushless motor that delivers 1,250lbs of max torque. Makita highlights that the tools offers up to 35% faster drilling speed compared to Makita’s 18V LXT® ½ inch hammer driver drill, with the new tool equipped with two speed settings that can be easily activated using the variable speed trigger.

Also included in the kit is the 40V max XGT® four speed impact driver which is powered by a brushless motor that offers 1,860lbs of max torque. The variable speed trigger allows users to easily switch between four speed settings. Both the hammer driver drill and impact driver are engineering with Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) to provide increased dust and water resistance in harsh jobsite conditions.

The new Combo Kit is part of Makita XGT®, an expanding system of 40V max and 80V max cordless equipment and tools. XGT® gives users one system, from core handheld tools such as drills and impact drivers to equipment grade products including high-capacity saws, rotary hammers, and power cutters – all powered by 40V max XGT® batteries. The expanding XGT® System will offer 125+ products in 2025.
