Specialinsert’s product ranges spans from inserts for metal sheets and sections, inserts for wood and metal full parts, inserts for plastics and for composite materials. A new innovative product includes its deformation threaded insert, the DEFORM-NUT TC/SC/1 for sandwich panels which includes a double anchoring system - both mechanical and chemical.
The first anchoring system is given by the anchorage of the tubular rivet nut on the skin of the material. The second anchoring system is assured by an adhesive dropped in the hole before the installation of the internal screw insert.
This kind of fastener guarantees flatness during the insertion, avoids choking of the weakened part, works on the total thicknesses of the sandwich panel and also gives the advantage to be used and moved immediately. This makes it different from the other type of fasteners available on the market.
