HAZET, the Remscheid-based manufacturer of tools and workshop equipment has introduced two new fine tooth reversible ratchets in its HiPer series. Firstly, the newest innovation is the 116mm (4.57 inch) long 6.3mm (1/4 inch) (0.24 inch) HiPer fine tooth reversible ratchet. With a max torque of 120Nm (88.51 lbf ft), it boasts almost twice as much power as prescribed by the DIN standard (62Nm / 45.73 lbf ft).
At 415mm (16.34 inch), the second new innovation HiPer 916 HPL is the elongated 12.5mm (1/2 inch) (0.51 inch) version of the successful HiPer 916 HP (275mm long / 10.83 inch) and, thanks to its longer lever arm, now moves closer to the achievable power of its static torque of max 1,000Nm (737.56 lbf ft).
When it comes to HiPer ratchets, Hazet-Werk Hermann Zerver Gmbh & Co KG says its in-house quality standards guarantee a loading capacity that is almost twice as high as the DIN standard. Both the maximum loading capacity as well as the permanent load were extensively tested and confirmed by VPA Remscheid and HAZET-internal quality tests in compliance with DIN 3122:2017-04 or ISO 3315:2018-05.
Increased service life thanks to state-of-the-art lubricants
Through attention to detail, the latest HAZET reversible ratchet achieves exceptional longevity: Special heat treatment ensures extremely robust main components such as the housing and square, modern lubricants reduce the wear of the high-precision ratchet mechanism and tight manufacturing tolerances ensure protection from ingress of contamination. The reversible ratchets are easy to clean and are corrosion resistant.
Both models thus deliver significantly more power than many other ratchets on the market with comparable dimensions and thus form a perfect symbiosis of power and precision. Their small operating angle of only 4 degrees allows them to be used in the tightest of spaces, for example on engines, in mechanical engineering, on agricultural vehicles and equipment, in the trades as well as in building services, in the home and for hobbies. An engaging function of the respective shift levers provides protection against unwanted switching. Thanks to its integrated hanging option in the handle, both tools can be sorted away quickly and neatly after use.
