New hex screw and nut assortments for automotive construction 02 July 2024

Dresselhaus has greatly expanded its assortment of hexagon screws and nuts, designed exclusively for use in automotive construction. The special screws and nuts feature up to date corrosion protection and are now available in smaller quantities.

Over the decades, drive trains, materials and vehicle design have been changed repeatedly, but the one remaining constant is the necessity for a solid construction for the chassis of utility vehicles, special purpose vehicles, and trailers. Thanks to the expertise of the Dresselhaus professionals and over 70 years of experience in the industry, automotive manufacturers receive the connecting elements they need to meet high industry standards.

In addition to the repeatedly proven hex screws in accordance with the MB standard, the new expanded range now also includes a large selection of serrated washer head screws as well as flange screws and nuts in assorted sizes and qualities – specially adapted to customer requirements. Versions are available, for example, with fine or coarse pitch threads, as well as full and partial length threads. Smaller pack quantities are also available with the new range expansion.

Dresselhaus offers zinc-nickel and hot-dip zinc coatings. While both coatings provide maximum protection against corrosion, the hot-dip zinc coating also features excellent thermal resistance, as well as resistance to typical fuels, motor oil and other fluids commonly found in the automotive industry. While the low potential difference of the zinc-nickel coatings helps to prevent contact corrosion in steel-aluminium combinations.

A new brochure recently published on the Dresselhaus Valuemakers platform contains the entire exclusive line of Dresselhaus screws for vehicle and chassis construction. Additionally, if customers require special versions of vehicle and chassis screws not included in the Dresselhaus standard range, the Valuemakers will find the optimal solution.
