Robnor ResinLab has announced the launch of PX628D, a two-part toughened epoxy adhesive for structural bonding.
PX628D offers high-strength and adhesion to many substrates including aluminium, copper, brass, stainless steel and even certain plastics such as ABS. It is a non-slump epoxy paste adhesive capable of gap filling, with an MPa of 26 on stainless steel and a handling time of about 6-8 hours. It reaches full strength within approximately 48 hours at room temperature.
With the black resin component, and the white hardener, it is possible to see that the two components have mixed properly, since the mixed PX628D is grey in colour. Furthermore, the 1:1 by volume mix ratio allows for convenient metering and mixing of the adhesive in bulk.
The addition of PX628D, enhances Robnor ResinLab’s existing range of structural adhesives which already includes untoughened and flexible types. This material is recommended for structural bonding in a wide variety of applications including panel bonding in vehicles and the manufacturing of furniture.
Robnor ResinLab PX628D is WEEE, RoHS and REACH compliant and can be purchased in bulk or in 50, 200 and 400ml cartridges. Other sizes & kits available upon request.
