Recently, a large Chinese EV OEM sought out an effective solution for bonding vehicle spoilers without increasing weight or hindering performance and efficiency. To address this challenge, Scott Bader’s Crestabond structural adhesives were used.
Crestabond was chosen as the suitable structural adhesives thanks to the materials strength and quality. Using this adhesive enabled the OEM to bond the spoilers without using mechanical fixings, thus saving weight. Another advantage of this solution is an increase in fuel efficiency, a key focus for electric vehicles.
Scott Bader’s technical support team helped maximise process efficiency, safety and reduce waste during this project.
