Bonding technology takes centre stage at new event 21 January 2020

Launching this year, Adhesives & Bonding Expo will take place on 24th – 26th March, in Novi, Michigan, USA, and will bring together the industry’s biggest players in industrial bonding technology, including 3M, Bostik, Loctite, Dow, Permabond, HB Fuller, Avery Dennison and Henkel.

The free to attend exhibition and conference will bring together design engineers looking for bonding systems to assemble efficient, durable and lightweight components. Co-located with Foam Expo, the technology on display will offer solutions for a diverse range of manufacturing sectors, including automotive & transportation, aerospace, construction, appliances & furniture, medical, electronics and many more.

Selecting and validating the right adhesive to create strong and durable bonds that meet existing assembly line requirements can be a drain on resources. The conference programme will offer invaluable insight for end users looking for the latest solutions for industrial applications, such as process optimisation and bond design. Industry experts, including Bostik, HB Fuller, Microsoft, GE Healthcare, Centre of Automotive Research, and Sika will share expert knowledge on application requirements, such as; bonding smooth, greasy or dissimilar materials; optimising surface preparation, dispensing, drying, curing and fixture times and real world durability testing in extreme environment.

“There are so many adhesives on the market, no standard requirements on what should be listed in TDS sheets. It is hard for customers to compare and choose right adhesives. At Adhesives & Bonding Expo I am looking forward to meeting with different adhesive vendors and discovering new high performance adhesives, new applications and different adhesive handling tools such as mixer, disperser, metering tools, etc,” comments Dr Yanju Wang, adhesive/epoxy COE leader from GE Healthcare and advisory board member for the event.

A free B2B meeting service, taking place at the event, will further facilitate networking and encourage business discussions and collaborations between suppliers of bonding technology and industrial end users, as well as the chemical and equipment supply chain.

“During the event, there will be opportunities to discuss general topics in a cooperative environment where manufacturers of the adhesives will meet among themselves and with the final users with the common goal of widening the application areas of adhesive bonding technology,” explains Dr Giorgio Zaffaroni, technical director from Permabond.

The entire exhibition and conference is free to attend and you can register for your free pass on the event websites: www.adhesivesandbondingexpo.com or www.foam-expo.com
