tesa®’s ACXplus range goes from strength to strength 03 September 2015
tesa ACXplus, the brand of adhesive tapes designed to deliver a powerful bond on materials with different surface characteristics, has extended its application range with the introduction of tesa® ACXplus 7044, available in both grey and white.

The product employs the innovative tesa® ACXplus acrylic adhesive system which achieves its performance levels through optimal wetting and adapting chemically to the bonded surfaces. tesa® ACXplus 7044 is targeted at key industry applications such as deco glass mounting for glass panels; decorative covers on refrigerators, washing machines or air conditioners; and for glass to metal mounting on doors or partition walls in the building supply market.

The grey and white colour options have been chosen to harmonise with the most commonly used colours in these sectors and the aesthetics are further enhanced through the use of a stretch resistant PV28 liner which enables quick, easy handling and very straight, precise lines of application.

tesa says the fundamental feature of the tape is its excellent adhesion and shear performance, and this is maintained across the most often used substrates for this type of work, including ABS, painted glass and aluminium. Taping in the same colour as the surface material produces a virtually invisible bond; in addition best optical appearance is achieved through the eradication of air bubbles when mounting glass to rigid materials using tesa ACXplus.

“tesa has met the market demand for white and grey tape and has enabled manufacturers and fabricators to achieve the process improvements available from the use of high-quality adhesive tape, along with the aesthetic values which help to stimulate product sales.”
