fischer’s new FXC 85 battery actuated setting tool 30 April 2024

fischer’s new FXC 85 battery actuated setting tool for direct installation makes it quicker and easier to fasten in concrete, steel and other anchor substrates. As the first fischer setting tool to run on batteries alone, it is the latest addition to the existing range of gas cartridge tools.

Drywall tracks, electrical installations and much more can be carried out with speed and reliability in floors, ceilings and walls. With a setting power of approximately 85 joules the tool guarantees precise, rapid and powerful insertion into the fastening substrate. A wide range of nails enables applications in various materials such as concrete, steel, solid brick and sand-lime brick. As the device is battery-operated, there is no need for gas cartridges, reducing the level of noise during use while customers save on operating and maintenance costs.

An 18V ProCORE battery by Bosch’s AMPShare alliance allows users to place 500 nails per charge without interruption using the FXC 85 and is fully recharged within 65 minutes. This speeds up the installation and the successful completion of the project while lowering costs. The 18V Bosch AMPShare alliance battery is 100% compatible with devices by other AMPShare alliance partners, resulting in a higher degree of flexibility and more space on the construction site, lower costs and faster progress. With 15,000 fastenings per service interval, the FXC 85 tool is particularly durable, helping to further reduce costs.

fischer offers a wide range of E-Fix products that are compatible with the device, such as clips, cable harnesses, cable clasps and various bands made of plastic, soon available in metal. These accessories are perfect for the fischer FGC 100 and FXC 85 concrete nailers and their powerful DFNH nails.

In order to operate the device, it is simply positioned at a right angle to the work surface before it is activated. That’s all it takes to firmly nail an object to the fastening substrate. Practical features make it quicker and easier to use. The user interface on the FXC 85 has an intuitive on-and-off switch, displays the status of the battery and setting tool and allows the device to be reset. A depth adjustment switch can be used to reduce the depth and choose how to set the nails to suit the respective application.

A stand provides the FXC 85 with stability and can be removed when using the device in narrow areas that are hard to access. A work light perfectly illuminates the work environment and makes it easier to see while setting nails in poor lighting.

The user-friendly nail push button makes it simple to load new nails. A release button for the trigger provides added safety, while a practical belt hook allows users to carry the device on them. In the rare case that a nail gets stuck, the magazine is quick and easy to unload, allowing the nail to be removed. The device can be used in temperatures of -5°C to +50°C and measures L 405mm x W 138mm x H 309mm.

FXC 85 is available in the practical XL-BOXX, a sturdy case that allows for convenient and safe transportation of the device while offering enough room for tools, plugs, screws and more in addition to the setting tool. The XL-BOXX is splash-proof, stackable and can be customised with various inserts and accessories. It is also compatible with fischer’s L-BOXX.
