One-sided connection – versatile options 27 September 2019

With the expansion of its product range in the field of blind rivet technology, WASI offers corrosion resistant solutions for quick and easy assembly. All of which can be used in a large number of applications with restricted component accessibility.

Blind rivet technology has become an essential part of many modern industrial processes in which connecting technology is required due to its cost-effectiveness and versatility. Riveting technology is used in all areas of manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic pre and final assembly. As a specialist for stainless steel fasteners, WASI offers a wide range of corrosion resistant blind rivet technology in A2 and A4 materials. In order to meet market requirements and customer demands, knurled blind rivet nuts, flat head blind rivets made of A4 material, and sealing blind rivets, have been included in the WASI stock range.

Because of the quick and easy assembly, blind rivet technology is suitable for a variety of applications. It is versatile and easy to use due to its one-sided processing capability. It reliably, quickly and easily connects various flat components, such as sheet metal, wood, steel, aluminium and plastic, as well as hollow bodies, profiles and pipes. Compared to welding, no heating is necessary during assembly and still provides a strong and permanent connection. The deformation of the rivet produces a positive riveted connection between several components. Blind rivet nuts also produce a thread in the component. Blind rivet technology is cost-effective because it is easy to handle, saves time and can be integrated into automated assembly processes.

An important field of application for blind rivet technology are lightweight constructions made of aluminium. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel blind rivet technology, in particular, makes WASI articles interesting for industries such as the metal industry, the construction industry, shipbuilding, the automotive supplier and automotive industry, manufacturers of household devices, fittings and electrical engineering. The colour design in the visible area plays an increasingly important role in many different areas. Typical applications for blind rivets with head coating are façade construction, high-quality roller shutters and sun protection systems, as well as the sanitary sector. On request, WASI also offers its customers head painting by powder coating according to RAL or NCS.

The WASI range includes blind rivet nuts from M4 – M10, blind rivets from diameter 2.5mm – 6.4mm and suitable tools.
