Crane’s new lightweight production wrench 29 September 2015

Global torque measurement and management solutions provider, Crane Electronics Ltd, has launched a new WrenchStar Multi lightweight wrench with auditing capabilities, which will be available from October.

Crane Electronics says the WrenchStar Multi will enable the user to digitally record the torque information. The wrench features interchangeable DIN heads; a vibration alert for battery life; and an LED light ring enabling ‘real time’ and ‘end of cycle time’ tightening. The 360° light ring also shows status of readings and jobs regardless of how the wrench is held.

The wrench comes with an RF feature meaning you do not need a cable to connect it to the data collector. 200 recordings can also be made offline before having to return the wrench to the data collector.

“The WrenchStar Multi is compatible with all the latest Crane products including the IQVu data collector. The IQVu provides an ideal solution for the measurement and collection of torque, angle, and pulse data in the manufacturing and quality environment. Use the WrenchStar Multi with the IQVu and you will have the perfect torque and angle measurement system for your application.”
