NORMA Group honoured for outstanding supplier performance 28 October 2021

NORMA Group has been recognised by Daimler and PACCAR for excellent supplier services in the commercial vehicle sector. The company received the ‘Master of Quality Award’ from Daimler Buses Mexico and the ‘PACCAR Quality Award’ from PACCAR.

“We are very happy to receive these awards,” said Dr Michael Schneider, CEO of NORMA Group. “These awards are a testament to the high-quality standards we set for our products and services. At the same time, they are an incentive for us to optimise our product range even further and to always offer our customers the best possible service.”

Daimler Buses Mexico evaluates the quality, delivery, technology, and cost performance of its suppliers on the basis of a balanced scorecard. In this case, the NORMA Pennsylvania plant in the United States was evaluated. For 2020, the plant received excellent ratings in all four categories. NORMA Pennsylvania is one of the leading component and service suppliers for commercial vehicles in the Americas region. NORMA Pennsylvania has been supplying Daimler with hose clamps, among other products, for many years.

This is already the second award this year for outstanding supplier performance in the commercial vehicles sector for NORMA Group in the Americas region. Earlier this year, NORMA Group’s plants in Monterrey and Juarez, Mexico, received the ‘PACCAR Quality Award’ for outstanding product and service performance. Each year, PACCAR recognises suppliers who meet or exceed the ‘10 ppm’ quality standard, or the equivalent of no more than ten defective parts per million components supplied to PACCAR.
